"American Factory", the first film released by Barack and Michelle Obama's production company Higher Ground, will land on US streaming giant Netflix on Wednesday. 當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間21日，奧巴馬夫婦旗下高地制片公司發(fā)行的首部電影《美國工廠》將在美國流媒體巨頭網(wǎng)飛上線。

Blenheim Palace, Winston Churchill's birthplace, has reportedly installed a ￡1 million 18-carat gold toilet for visitors - but there will be a time limit for its use. 據(jù)報(bào)道，丘吉爾故居布倫海姆宮安裝了一個(gè)價(jià)值100萬英鎊的18K的黃金馬桶，供游客如廁時(shí)使用，但使用時(shí)長有限制。

>Devices steal childhood

Children in rural areas spend more time gazing at handset and computer screens than their peers in cities, according to a study by the China National Children's Center. 中國兒童中心進(jìn)行的一項(xiàng)研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，農(nóng)村兒童看手機(jī)和電腦屏幕的時(shí)間多于城市兒童。

Sun Hongyan, director of the childhood research institute at the China Youth and Children Research Center, said the internet and electronic devices used to be luxuries for rural children. But the increasing affordability of smartphones made it easier for migrant worker parents to provide electronic devices to children left behind in their hometowns.中國青少年研究中心少年兒童研究所所長孫宏艷稱，對(duì)農(nóng)村兒童來說，互聯(lián)網(wǎng)及電子設(shè)備曾屬于奢侈品，但人們對(duì)智能手機(jī)負(fù)擔(dān)能力的不斷提升，使得農(nóng)民工家長更容易為留守在家鄉(xiāng)的子女購買電子設(shè)備。

"It's been getting harder for parents to monitor a lot of what their kids are seeing and doing, especially when they are not around," Sun said. The study found that after the school day ends, youngsters nationwide now spend more time in front of mobile and computer screens playing games and chatting - over 43 minutes a day - than they do reading. >UK to boycott EU meetings

British ministers and officials will boycott most European Union (EU) meetings starting Sept 1, the British government announced Tuesday. 英國政府20日宣布，自9月1日起，該國大臣和官員將拒絕參加歐盟大部分會(huì)議。

The announcement came in the latest Brexit development as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson faces fresh warnings over a hard border between the Republic of Ireland and the UK's Northern Ireland. 上述公告是英國脫歐的最新進(jìn)展，英國首相鮑里斯·約翰遜正面臨愛爾蘭和英國北愛蘭間硬邊界發(fā)出的最新警告。

British ministers will only attend big summits and those covering essential interests, like security. 英國大臣將只參加大型峰會(huì)以及涉及安全等根本利益的會(huì)議，其余會(huì)議將予以忽略。

The rest will be ignored, sending a clear message that Britain is serious about leaving the regional group at the end of October. 此舉就英國對(duì)10月底退出歐盟一事持認(rèn)真態(tài)度發(fā)出了明確的信號(hào)。
